St. Clare Primary School Phase III – Delivered

Rostwa Engineers has formally handed over the Phase III works at St. Clare Primary School in Oyam, marking the completion of the latest stage in a development programme that has been running at this institution across three phases.

The handover ceremony took place today, 29th April 2026, on the grounds of St. Clare Primary School. Rostwa Engineers was represented by the Managing Director, Eng. Emmanuel Obwor, the Project Site Engineer, Atia Moses, and the full St. Clare site team. The ceremony was presided over by the Bishop of Lira Diocese as the main celebrant, and was attended by a delegation and the Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (MSMMC), representatives from #SLW, community leaders from the area, and the entire staff. Clare Primary School.

What Was Delivered

Phase III covered the construction of a new classroom block and administrative offices — two facilities that complete the functional infrastructure of the school. The classroom block expands the school’s teaching capacity, providing additional, well-structured learning spaces for a growing pupil population. The administrative offices give the school’s leadership and staff a dedicated working environment — a critical component of a well-run institution that is often the last to be built and the first to be felt in its absence.

The project was delivered on schedule. Works were carried out under challenging conditions — adverse weather created significant logistical constraints across the construction period — but the site teams maintained progress and held to the standards required. That is a result of clear coordination between Rostwa’s engineering and site management teams and the commitment of everyone on the ground throughout the project lifecycle.

A Three-Phase Journey

Phase III brings to a close a long-running engagement at St. Clare Primary School. Phase I established the school’s initial classroom capacity. Phase II extended that provision and strengthened the school’s water infrastructure. Phase III now delivers the classroom block and offices that complete the picture — a school with the physical infrastructure to operate fully, teach effectively, and serve its community in Oyam for years ahead.

Remarks

Eng. Emmanuel Obwor, Managing Director of Rostwa Engineers, expressed appreciation to both the Rostwa site team and the client representatives for their roles in delivering the project. The successful handover reflects the joint effort of all parties involved — from design through to the final works on site.

Rostwa Engineers remains committed to delivering infrastructure that is safe, durable, and built to standard — grounded in a long-term vision of contributing to the development of communities across Uganda and the wider region.

Main Hall and Animal Shade Inaugurated

On 23rd January 2026, Rostwa Engineers formally handed over two completed projects at the Adilang Vocational Training Institute, the AVTI Main Hall and the AVTI Animal Shade Facility. The handover ceremony was held on the AVTI campus in Adilang, Agago District, and brought together the Dongo Paco Foundation board and Rostwa Engineers representatives for the official inauguration of both structures.

The Main Hall

The AVTI Main Hall is the largest communal facility delivered to the institute to date. Designed and constructed by Rostwa Engineers for Dongo Paco Foundation Limited, the hall provides AVTI with a permanent, large-capacity space for assemblies, institutional events, graduation ceremonies, community engagements, and training activities, functions the institute previously had no dedicated infrastructure to host at this scale.

The structure was built to serve not just the current student body but the long-term growth of the institution. From site preparation through to structural works, finishes, and final inspection, the project was managed with precision to ensure what was delivered matched the design intent and the operational needs of AVTI.

For an institution whose purpose is to equip young people in Northern Uganda with practical vocational skills, a hall of this size and quality changes what is possible, not just for the school, but for the wider Adilang community that uses the campus.

The Animal Shade Facility

The second project handed over on the same day was the AVTI Animal Shade Facility, a fenced agricultural enclosure designed to house a range of livestock and birds, incorporating dedicated sections for poultry, goats, cattle, and pigs.

Beyond its function as a livestock facility, the Animal Shade was designed with sustainability at its core. The facility incorporates a waste reuse system, managing animal manure and water in a way that supports the institute’s agricultural activities and reduces environmental impact. The enclosure is self-contained within a perimeter fence, built to accommodate a significant number of animals across its different sections.

This project reflects a broader vision for AVTI as a comprehensive vocational institution, one where students studying agriculture and animal husbandry have access to functional, well-built facilities that mirror real-world practice. Infrastructure built with purpose, designed to teach.

The Handover

The formal handover ceremony marked the conclusion of both projects and the beginning of their operational life. Speeches were delivered by representatives of both Rostwa Engineers and Dongo Paco Foundation, acknowledging the work completed and the significance of both facilities to the institute’s continued development.

Both projects now pass into the hands of AVTI and Dongo Paco Foundation for use.

Celebrating 5 Years of Dedication

As the sun was shining brightly, lesser noise away from Kampala city, I laid down on my bed reflecting about how to navigate through life, suddenly my phone rang at 2:16pm on the 7th September, 2019 from the other side a soft feminine voice was so clear and loud about how I had been granted an opportunity to work as an Administrator with Rostwa Engineers!  that’s how the journey began.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AT AVTI-AGGAO JULY 2024.

Intro

After Rostwa Engineers having active Construction and Project planning for Adilang Vocational Training Institute Agago for a period of 2 years and more, Administration thought of how best to give back to the Institute since it’s an annual norm to have at least one corporate social responsibility activity hence the birth of Careers day. The reasons behind the day was for the students to have first-hand information from people already actively engaged in the field of the various courses they are pursuing.

Retreat and Anniversary Celebrations 2024

Celebrating 15 Years of Excellence

At Rostwa Engineers Ltd., we recently gathered for a momentous company retreat and anniversary celebration, marking our 15th year of “Engineering a Legacy.” This event was a perfect blend of reflection, strategic planning, and celebration, held in the scenic Fort Portal, Western Uganda.

 Reflecting on Our Journey

Toro Kingdom Palace

The retreat provided us with a valuable opportunity to look back on our achievements and milestones. From pioneering engineering solutions to building lasting relationships with our clients, we have grown and evolved in ways we could have only imagined when we started 15 years ago. This growth is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of our entire team.

Engineering a Legacy: Strategic Planning for Year 15: The highlight of our retreat was our strategic planning sessions, where each department collaborated to set clear, ambitious goals for the upcoming year. This year, under the theme “Engineering a Legacy,” the Jupita team revised and polished our company philosophy, including our mission, vision, and core values. Each department then developed their own mission for Rostwa Year 15, encapsulated in their Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) and detailed action plans (Leads).

Departmental Missions and Action Plans: Each department at Rostwa Engineers Ltd. held its own retreat session to develop a mission and action plan for Year 15. Here are the highlights from each department’s session:

Administration Department: Led by Ms. Atim Juliet, the Administration team focused on enhancing internal communication and streamlining administrative processes to support overall company efficiency.

Finance Department: Under the leadership of Mrs. Berna Otto, the Finance team is dedicated to improving financial transparency and optimizing budget allocation.

Technical Team: Under the leadership of Eng. Emmanuel Obwor, the Technical team is dedicated to driving innovation through external collaboration, maximizing available engineering solutions, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

A Celebration to Remember: In addition to our strategic sessions, we celebrated our 15th anniversary with team-building activities and a memorable Rostwa dinner, where we enjoyed a special cake-cutting ceremony to mark our 15 years of excellence. Our celebration took place at Kalitusi Lodges in Fort Portal City, providing a beautiful and inspiring setting for our events. We also explored the rich tourism sites of the western belt, including visits to the Semuliki Hot Springs, Kyaninga Lodges, Fort Portal City, the Toro Kingdom Palace, Kazinga Channel, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the Equator. These experiences not only strengthened our team bonds but also allowed us to appreciate the beauty and culture of Uganda.

 Looking Ahead

As we embark on our 15th year, we are more committed than ever to living up to our theme, “Engineering a Legacy.” With a clear strategic plan and a motivated team, we are poised to achieve new heights and continue delivering unparalleled engineering solutions to our clients.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been part of our journey so far. Here’s to another year of Engineering A Legacy at Rostwa Engineers Ltd.
