DESCRIPTION
The UCMB Competence Centre is dedicated to supporting the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) in its mission to improve the health and well-being of communities across the country. ROstwa Engineers being part of the mision, we achieved this through a multifaceted approach focused on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and energy solutions.
Our collaborative efforts included:
- Development of WASH & Energy Manuals: Our team of experts properly crafted comprehensive manuals that provided clear and practical guidance on implementing effective WASH practices and sustainable energy solutions within healthcare facilities and communities served by UCMB. These manuals serve as valuable resources for promoting hygiene, sanitation, and access to clean energy.
- Capacity Building through Training: We conducted comprehensive training programs tailored to equip healthcare workers, community leaders, and technicians with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement the established WASH and energy protocols outlined in the developed manuals. This hands-on approach empowered individuals to become advocates for positive change within their communities.
- Technical Support and Collaboration: Our team provided ongoing technical support and collaborated closely with UCMB to ensure the successful implementation of WASH and energy interventions. This collaborative approach fostered knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and long-term sustainability of the implemented solutions.
