DESCRIPTION

The project aimed to create a modern, safe and comfortable environment for mothers and newborns by improving delivery rooms, increasing bed capacity and enhancing infection control measures. 

The project included the construction of main maternity block, reception and waiting area, 5 additional delivery rooms, general ward space with up to 40 beds and private ward with 6 delivery rooms. 

The renovation works was undertaken in existing delivery rooms, and staff areas which included changing of floor finishes and openings, painting, upgrading lighting. 2 central nursey stations.

The project delivered a fully functional and operational maternity ward significantly improving the quality of care provided to mothers and newborns at Bishop Ceaser Asili Hospital while adhering to engineering standards alongside healthcare facility guidelines.
